New Painting

So the Butters (www.butterfamilypicnic.blogspot.com) gave us this really big canvas when they moved to Pittsburgh. We got inspired and finally did something with that big blank spot above our bed. We painted some (orange) cherry blossum trees. We think it came out nicely. Thanks Butters!

Yes, yes, yes, we know the lamps are hidious. We bought them for the shape and size. Check back in a few weeks to see what we do with them.

Crib Rails

So Nathan has a couple of teeth and it was showing... on the crib! He would grind his teeth along the rails and leave marks. We did not think that this was good for him or the crib so Shannon made some really neat covers to go over the rail.

Rocking Chair

Another oldie but goodie. Matt's Mom and Aunt also used this old rocking chair when they were younger. It use to have a music box attached so when it rocked the music would play. When refinishing the chair we could not find anything like that... but we think that it still turned out great. Nathan is almost big enough to enjoy it and not just be propped up there for a photo opportunity. Sorry about that Nathan.

Nathan's High Chair

Matt's Mom and Aunt used this High Chair when they were younger. It took a little elbow work, but with some refinishing Matt was able to return it to it's original charm. Shannon made some really cool retro looking seat covers for it as well that puts it over the top.
